Mailbox Greetings by KLM Digital Designs

Happy New Year! I am so excited to start 2020 as part of the design team for KLM Digital Designs. I wanted to showcase how versatile these digital stamps are to use. I created two cards with the Mailbox Greetings stamp. Not only did I create two cards, I used copics for the first card and spectrum noir markers for the second card. I wanted to show you that you can use whatever alcohol markers you have on hand, and your cards will come out just beautifully. The stamps from KLM Digital Designs are absolutely adorable.

I created a 5 x 7 card for this stamp. I printed the stamp at 3.5 inches. I made a frame with paper from the Everyday pack by American Crafts. I used the sentiment "Just a Note" from KLM Digital Designs. I used a brad from Doodlebug to compliment the paper and the colors that I selected for my image. I used a red paper and  green paper from my stash to create a mat.

Copics Used:

  • Mail box - W0, W2, and W4. I also used C4 and C5 for the screw and R14, R24, and R27 for the flag
  • Mail Box pole - E77, E74, and E71
  • Tulips - R27, R24, and R14
  • Leaves - G03, G05, and G17
  • Bluebirds - B14, B12, and B00
  • Grass - G17, G05, and G03

I created a background with clouds using Pool Party from Stampin Up and Squeezed Lemonade from Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I simply made a template from a scrap piece of paper to create the clouds. Always use what you have on hand to create your cards. You don't need the latest and the greatest to be creative. I created the same background for each card.

Spectrum Noirs used:
  • Mail box - BG2, BG3, and BG4. I also used IG6 and IG7 for the screw and DR1 and DR 2 for the flag
  • Mail Box pole - EB4 and EB6
  • Tulips - DR1, DR3, and DR4
  • Leaves - JG1, JG2, and JG3
  • Bluebirds - TB3 and TB4
  • Grass - DG3 and DG5
** When I do not have a low, mid, and dark tone, I will blend to shades together to get a third color. Never be afraid to experiment with the colors that you have on hand to come up with a blend that works well with your images.

I truly love creating cards and sharing them with you. I hope that you will follow along with my crafting journey. I do lives on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7:00 PM EST.
