Ginger by Dig Doodle Studios

I selected the stamp Ginger from Digi Doodles for this fun card. I think I will give this one to my husband. This is a 6x6 card. I used the Bunch Scraps Coffee Love digi paper pack from Digi Doodle Studios. I did go back and touch up her hair after I made the video. I had missed a small section.

Mats:

  • 6x6
  • 5 7/8 x 5 7/8
  • 4x3
  • 3 7/8 x 2 7/8  (I used 2 of this size of mats)

I love to surprise my husband with little notes and cards. I think he will just love this one!

I used the following Copics for this card:

Face - E000, E01, E11, R20, and R30
Hair - Y38, Y35, and Y17
Blouse - BG23, BG13, BG11, V12, and V02
Trousers - E74, E71, and E70
Shoes - BG13, and BG11
Bow, Ruffle, and Heart - V02 and V12

I also used a violet and a green pencil to color in the circles on the blouse.

Raccoon with Heart Box - A Fun Valentine Card

I created a cute Valentine card using Raccoon Heart Box by Paper Nest Dolls. For this card I decided to create a 5x7 card. I just love this sweet raccoon with his box of chocolates.

I can't believe that Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Summer will be her before we know it! I just love summer.

I used Echo Park paper to compliment the stamp. I used a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 for the first layer. For the square mat I used a 3..5 x 3.5, and for the rectangle, I cute the layer at 3 x 5. I used a red ribbon around the lower part of the card and placed the sentiment at the top left hand corner.

I used the following Copics to color the stamp:

Raccoon - W00, W0, W2, W4, W6 and W8. For the blush I used R30
Heart box - V4, V2, R37, R29, and R27
To ground the Raccoon - E01, E00, and the blender marker

Beach Hut Holiday

I selected Beach Hut Holiday stamp because of my wonderful memories of childhood. My grandparents would take me to the sea-side at Margate and Dover. There were little colorful huts in a row, where we could change our clothes. I always thought it was so magical.

This is a stamp by SheepSki Designs. If you haven't looked at the store, you really should. There is a lovely selection of stamps.

I selected digi paper Blue Lagoon designed by Lozzie at the Bit More Time to Craft challenge.  The colors of the paper remind me of the ocean.

I used the following copics to color this image:

Hut 1 - V09,V05, V01, BG23, BG13, BG11, G03 and G02
Hut 2 - YR02, E95, YR38, YR23, and YR14
Hut 3 - RV14, RV04, RV02, G03, and G02
Chair - B16, B14, B12, C4, and C2
Ball - R27, R24, B14, and B12
Sand - Y32, E42, and E21
Ocean BG000, and B00
Sea Grass - G99 and YG03
Windows - E40 and door knobs C4

I used distress inks , salty ocean and squeezed lemonade to create the clouds and the sun.

This is a 6x6 card. I also used my beloved Sweet Sentiment paper to color with my alcohol markers.

This card is one of my DT projects for SheepSki Designs and for A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge, where the theme is always "anything goes".

Tango - I Could Dance Through the Uinverse with You

I selected the digi stamp Tango for my DT inspiration project for the latest Sheep Ski Designs Challenge. Please join the SheepSki Designs Face book group.

The theme for this challenge is "I Love", so naturally I thought of my wonderful husband, whom I love to the moon and back. I can just see us dancing through the universe together.

I used copics to color the stamp. For the suit I used W6, W4, W2, and W0. For the hat I used an undercoat of BV25 grayish violet, thin I used the C0 and C2 cool gray over the top. I also used C0, C2 and N4 for his shoes.

For the girl I used a red glitter pen for the shoes and a touch of C0, C2, and N1 for the heels and soles. I selected RV02, RV04, RV10, RV13, and RV14 to color the dress. I used a sparkle gelly roll pen dotted over the dress.

I created a universe background using pinks, purples and blues. I also splattered water on the background. I created a cloud template from a piece of card that I used with the distress inks to make the background appear galaxy like. I hope that I was able to give the appearance the two dancing through the background.

I added flowers and a bit of purple yarn to for added interest. I simply used my computer to type the sentiment, "I Could Dance Through The Universe With You." I often create sentiments and add them to my cards.

This card was a lot of fun to make. I hope you follow along on my Face book page, Creative Paper Crafting with Jacquie.

Life has come full circle, with Love Letter Emma by Paper Nest Dolls

Truly, my life has come full circle. One of the first digital images that I colored was a Paper Nest Doll, and now I am on the design team. You can't imagine how thrilled I am.

For my first design team project, I selected Love Letter Emma. I think she is so adorable, carrying a big live letter.

I created a 6x6 card for Emma. I used Echo Park paper. The paper I used is discontinued, but the pack I linked is very similar.

I did use oval dies from my stash to cut out Emma and to cut a red mat to place behind her. I think the red just makes her pop!

I used the following Copics:

Face - E11, E000, E0000, and for the blush R20 and R20
Hair - Y38, Y35, YR14, and a touch of YR24
Dress - RV14, RV13, RV10, RV02
Shoes - RV14, RV13, RV10, and a touch of N4
Leggings - RV13, RV10, and E41
Envelope - E41
Hearts- R46 and R27
Bow RV04 and RV15 with a smidgen of R27

I used my very favorite paper from Sweet Sentiment to color this stamp on. If you haven't tried this paper, you have to give it a go. You will love it.

Sweet Little Darling Besties Doll 221224 - Such a cute doll for Valentines Day!

I selected a Sweet Little Darling Besties stamp for a Valentine card to give to a special teacher this year. This is a digi stamp, so you can download the stamp and create a card without having to wait. This is why I love digi stamps. I just think this little doll is extra cute. I love the reds and the pinks together. I colored this during a live on my Face Book page, Creative Paper Crafting with Jacquie and posted a video on my You Tube channel.

For this image I used the following Copic markers:

Face - E000, E01, E11 and blush E20 and E30. I love my Bestie dolls to have rosy cheeks.
Hair - E71, E71, and E77. I used a Gelly Roll pen for the red hearts in the hair.
Skirt - R 27, R24, and R14. I used R46 for the heart on her skirt.
Waistcoat - R30 and R20.  For the heart I used R46 and R29
Boots - W4, W2, and W0

I used True Red Sparkle pen for the head band after I shaded it with R30 and R20, and used R46 on the small hearts. After the sparkle pen dried, I used the Gelly Roll red pen to color in the hearts again.

This is a 6x6 card. I used Echo Park paper, which was a great compliment to the stamp. I colored my image on Sweet Sentiment paper, which is just wonderful for coloring with Copics or any alcohol markers.

"Lovebug Gnome" such a fun and adorable card for Valentimes!

For this Valentine card I selected Lovebug Gnome from KLM Digital Designs. I just love the gnome driving down the road, with the wind blowing his hat and balloons, while driving a bug is adorable. What could be more fun than driving down the road in a bug?

I wanted the card to have a sities vibe, so I took my inspiration from some paper from W R Memory Keepers Anthologie collection that I had in my stash. The design and colors on the paper are a perfect compliment to the stamp.

I thought that the bug was such a cute card that I decided to keep the focus on the gnome. I created a cloud background with distress inks. I have posted a copy of my live video (process) on my YouTube channel. You might be surprised that I have simply created a template to make the clouds from an old scrap of paper, that I use over and over again. I used marker paper from Sweet Sentiment. This is the best paper to use for copics. My absolute favorite!

For this image I used the following copics:

Balloons- for the red: R22 and R11 and for the pink: RV23, RV21, and RV 02
Hat - RV29, R27, and R24
Skin - E11 and E01
Nose - R30 and R20
Bumper and hub caps - C2 and C0
Wheels - W4, W2, and W0
Windows - W00
Beard - W0

I used distress inks for the clouds. I used fun foam to pop up my layer with the card. Since, I used a png file, I was able to put the sentiment. 'You Drive Me Wild" on the same layer as the gnome. PNG files print with a clear background, which allows you to merge images. I just love digi stamps. I printed the car at 4 inches.

Creating cards brings me so much joy - I hope that it brings you joy too.

I Heart You - A perfect sentiment for Valentines

I just love a romantic looking Valentine card, and this one is just perfect. Sherri Baldy creates beautiful stamps for her MyBesties line. The dolls are all so whimsical.

I created a 6x6 card and layered with papers from my crafting stash. I die cut a fan and a dollie to use, as well as assembled these cute flowers. I wanted to accentuate the image with a card full of layers and dimensions.

I colored her with my Copic markers:
Hair E71, E74, and E79
Face E000, E01, and E11
Pants and Hair Bow BV08, V09, V06, V05,V01, and BV000
Blouse RV23, RV21, and Rv02
Boots W0, W02, and W04
Ground C0 and C2

Through the Purple Haze January 2020 Challenge - My first project of the year!

For my first card as DT for Through The Purple Haze Challenge, I chose to make a Valentine Card. This challenge is to use a stencil. I used a stencil for the heart in the center of my stamped image. I used a variety of water colors for this card. I used my beloved set of Sakura Koi watercolors and My Tom Bows.

I love using watercolors, as it is so relaxing to color an image. I created a background mixing pixie dust, which is very sparkly with the watercolors. I also used Crafter's Companion glitter inks too. The card came out beautifully. "The Happiest Days are Spent with You" stamp is by Spellbinders, but the heart in the center was not showing up well, thus I used a heart stencil to make the card pop. Don't be afraid to try new things.

I used a small wooden tag, and colored it with my alcohol markers and used raffia to create a ribbon. The card has a mixed media vibe. I just love how this card came out.

This month's challenge with Through the Purple Haze is to use a stencil. What could be more fun? Why don't you challenge yourself and give it a try?

Girl Window Gnome by KLM Digital Designs

Who doesn't just love a cute little gnome? The gnome named Girl Window Gnome by KLM Digital Designs. Gnomes are all the rage this season. I just can't get enough of these adorable gnomes.

For this image I created a 6x6 card. When I look at a stamp I often see a story. This little girl is looking out the window and thinking about sunshine and flowers. Even though Christmas and the New Year just passed, I can feel spring right around the corner. I wanted the card to feel warm and inviting, so I selected purple, lilac, pink, and a touch of teal. I colored the ribbon purple to match her hair ribbons. I think the stamp is just adorable, and I hope that you enjoy my card.

Mailbox Greetings by KLM Digital Designs

Happy New Year! I am so excited to start 2020 as part of the design team for KLM Digital Designs. I wanted to showcase how versatile these digital stamps are to use. I created two cards with the Mailbox Greetings stamp. Not only did I create two cards, I used copics for the first card and spectrum noir markers for the second card. I wanted to show you that you can use whatever alcohol markers you have on hand, and your cards will come out just beautifully. The stamps from KLM Digital Designs are absolutely adorable.

I created a 5 x 7 card for this stamp. I printed the stamp at 3.5 inches. I made a frame with paper from the Everyday pack by American Crafts. I used the sentiment "Just a Note" from KLM Digital Designs. I used a brad from Doodlebug to compliment the paper and the colors that I selected for my image. I used a red paper and  green paper from my stash to create a mat.

Copics Used:

  • Mail box - W0, W2, and W4. I also used C4 and C5 for the screw and R14, R24, and R27 for the flag
  • Mail Box pole - E77, E74, and E71
  • Tulips - R27, R24, and R14
  • Leaves - G03, G05, and G17
  • Bluebirds - B14, B12, and B00
  • Grass - G17, G05, and G03

I created a background with clouds using Pool Party from Stampin Up and Squeezed Lemonade from Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I simply made a template from a scrap piece of paper to create the clouds. Always use what you have on hand to create your cards. You don't need the latest and the greatest to be creative. I created the same background for each card.

Spectrum Noirs used:
  • Mail box - BG2, BG3, and BG4. I also used IG6 and IG7 for the screw and DR1 and DR 2 for the flag
  • Mail Box pole - EB4 and EB6
  • Tulips - DR1, DR3, and DR4
  • Leaves - JG1, JG2, and JG3
  • Bluebirds - TB3 and TB4
  • Grass - DG3 and DG5
** When I do not have a low, mid, and dark tone, I will blend to shades together to get a third color. Never be afraid to experiment with the colors that you have on hand to come up with a blend that works well with your images.

I truly love creating cards and sharing them with you. I hope that you will follow along with my crafting journey. I do lives on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7:00 PM EST. Please join me on my Facebook page at Creative Paper Crafting with Jacquie. I post tutorials and replays of my lives on my YouTube channel.
